The biggest mistake I think people make when they go to the gym is over complicating their routine. Follow this simple 4 exercise programme to target the whole body with no equipment.

Do all 4 exercises for 30 seconds. Repeat the lot 4 times. Easy!



Bend your knees, drop your bum low, keep your back straight and your chest up. Thighs at a right angle to the floor.

Repeat as many times as you can for 30 seconds.

Push Up

Hands should be shoulder width apart. Do as many as you can, they are really hard, so bend your knees if you need to, just try and keep moving for the full 30 seconds.



Y Hold

These are really hard. Make sure your body is in the shape of a Y, then hold your arms raised a little off the ground for as long as you can. Just use a light dumbbell - or if you’re at home, a tin of beans?



Keep everything tensed up really tight and hold for as long as you can - aim to hold for the full 30 seconds after a few weeks.
